Xverse is a non-custodial crypto wallet for Bitcoin and Stacks, supporting NFTs, BRC-20 tokens, and Ordinals. It connects to Bitcoin dApps, offers staking rewards, and integrates with Ledger and Keystone for secure management.
User Feedback & Iteration
Usability testing and community feedback were vital in lowering the barrier to entry for Bitcoin Web3 users. Early tests indicated anxiety around irreversible transactions, confusing gas fee tiers, and complex key-phrase backups. In response, we redesigned the transaction flow to include human-readable signing previews, clear warnings for network congestion, and an interactive seed-phrase verification checklist. These iterations drastically minimized user error rates, improved onboarding completion by over 30%, and cultivated strong trust within the active Ordinals community.
Role & Responsibilities
As the Lead Product Designer, I led the end-to-end UX/UI design of the non-custodial mobile wallet. My role encompassed simplifying complex Web3 primitives into accessible, user-friendly experiences. Key responsibilities included architecting self-custodial onboarding and seed phrase recovery flows, designing seamless asset management for Bitcoin, BRC-20, and Ordinals NFTs, and creating intuitive transaction confirmation states. I collaborated closely with blockchain developers to ensure real-time network fee accuracy and translated usability testing feedback into high-trust, frictionless interactions.
